Established in 1874, Dennison has a long and distinguished history in British watchmaking, having become one of the major case makers of the 20th century and creating cases for some of the most respected names in horology. The Dennison legacy was revived in 2023 by Toby Sutton and Stephane Cheikh, with the creative vision of renowned watch designer Emmanuel Gueit, bringing the spirit of the original house into a new era.

Today, Dennison is based in Geneva, placing the brand at the heart of contemporary Swiss watchmaking. From its earliest history, Dennison was a maker of shapes, with a distinctive approach to form, proportion and elegance that set its cases apart. That philosophy remains at the heart of the brand today, where design is placed at the forefront of every creation and contemporary watchmaking is expressed through considered, sculptural forms.

The revival received international recognition only one year after its relaunch when Dennison was awarded the Challenge Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), acknowledging the strength of its design-led approach. In 2026, Dennison continues this exploration of form with a unique creation for the Time 4 Art auction, following its participation in 2024 with the ALD Infinite Blue.

The new ALD Dual Time “Oblong” takes the distinctive ALD case and rotates it 90 degrees, transforming its familiar proportions into an entirely new expression.Its elongated orientation is complemented by a unique dial design featuring lapis and malachite stones, an approach for which the brand has become increasingly renowned.
